Secondary School - Teaching Assistant Vacancy (Full Time)
Luton (North)
You would be joining a large and established Secondary School located to the North of Luton, with an Ofsted Good rating currently. The School are seeking Teaching Assistants who are keen to make a difference and be a part of their growth and journey. The School support a large percentage of LAC students who require additional 1:1 and small group support, with a Teaching Assistant being that pillar to support them through their time at Secondary School.
They are a school at the West of the local neighbourhood in Luton - on the north border of Bedfordshire and commutable from Central Bedfordshire with ease. They support and encourage our students to try their best to achieve success in all areas and help prepare them for their future choices, not only in their academic learning, but also within other areas such as music, sport, art and drama.
Pay would be offered between £350 - £400 per week depending on experience!
Start date is ASAP following the Easter 2022 break (approx 19th April).
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role supporting pupils and their success by:
- Providing 1:1 support in and outside the classroom during school hours
- Supporting pupils engagement and behaviour to induce willingness to learn
- Assisting the learner in accessing the curriculum
- Supporting the learner to achieve their target grades cross-curriculum
- Assisting the learner to become an independent learner
- Provide small group interventions and activities where required
- Demonstrate a commitment and understanding of Safeguarding and practicing this (training available by TP)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
