The School and Job:

Teaching Personnel have a long-standing relationship with a SEN School in Salisbury, who cater for boys and girls with special needs such as Autism and Complex Learning Difficulties. The School has an in-house team of qualified therapists offering Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Sensory Integration.

You will be working as a Teaching Assistant, responsible for supporting termly topics in small classes of 4-8 students. 

The most important trait that prospective applicants should have is an engaging personality and a willingness to help. Applicants with a good attitude to work and the ability to be pro-active will thrive in this SEN school.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Experience supporting children or adults with special needs
  • A passion and enthusiasm to see pupils achieve their best potential 
  • Dedication to the needs of all your pupils, working with other staff members to offer emotional and academic support
  • Good interpersonal skills and confidence
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Enjoys a challenge

Relevant SEN/Autism qualifications are desired but not essential.

Candidates are required to work full time 8.30am-15:30. We currently considering candidates who can start ASAP or in September.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
