EAL Teaching Assistant.
Are you an experienced Teaching assistant ?
Do you have experience working with pupils with English as an additional language?
Teaching Personnel are currently working with a primary school located in Fakenhamwho requires an EAL Teaching Assistant to join their team, this would be a full time role starting in October. The school has two pupils who are EAL pupils, who may require aditional support throughout the school day, you must be able to speak and write fluently in French/Italian in order to help the two pupils get the maximum out of their school day.
You would gain access to a number of excellent CPD courses- including Jolly phonics, autism awareness, Level 2 Teaching assistant training and many more !
The role would include assisting EAL pupils in KS1/KS2 with engaging and understanding the work set out by the teacher. It would also include running small group sessions with the pupils to further aid their knowledge and understanding of the work set out throughout the school day.
This would be ideally suited to a candidate who has a strong understanding of the English language, has experience as a Teaching assistant and someone who has worked with pupils whose first language is other than English.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
