Teaching Assistant

A school in Poole are seeking a specialist Teaching Assistant to work with pupils with additional needs.

The school is an all age (2-19) special school, catering for young people with a wide range of needs including Profound, Multiple and complex conditions, Autistic Spectrum Conditions and Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties. All pupils have an Education Health and Care Plan which relates to their specific needs.

You will have experience supporting young people with additional needs in an education or healthcare setting.

You may also have received training in Intensive Interaction, Makaton, PECS , TEACCH or SCERTS which support the development of provisions for pupils with complex communication needs and those with a diagnosis of autism.

You have a commitment to meet the social, emotional, and mental health needs of young people.
