Teaching Personnel are working exclusively with a SEN School based in Belper who cater for students with ASC and learning disabilities who require a teaching assistant to start with them in September.
The School
They provide places for students aged 4 to 19 who live in Derbyshire, Derby City, Nottinghamshire and Staffordshire. They also have a residential provision and a hub for primary aged, average ability students with autism and are a split-site school with their 14-19 department located in Belper.

- The proportion of pupils who are supported by the pupil premium is approximately a third of the school population, which is average compared with national figures. This extra government funding supports pupils who are known to be eligible for free school meals and/or looked after children
The ideal candidate:
The role will require you to support with classroom based tasks and also work on a 1:1 basis supporting the children emotionally and with their education and learning. Candidates with relevant experience within education and a classroom are desired. This is an incredibly rewarding role that demands a dedicated, passionate individual wanting to fully commit to the position.
- Be confident in a SEND school and challenging setting
- Have a nurturing and patient manner
- Willingness to undertake further training
- Come from an education or health care background or have relevant experience working with ASC, ADHD, VI, MLD, PMLD and other disabilities
