Teaching Assistant

We are currently recruiting for Psychology Graduates in September to work in schools in the North Manchester area, that need Teaching Assistants with long term availability. The schools range from alternative provisions, to specialist schools catering for children with a variety of needs ranging from Autism to complex medical needs. You will be expected to support with a variety of ability and age levels in this role. If you have recently graduated with a Psychology Degree and have a passion for working with students with Special educational needs, then please apply on the attached details.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am-3.30pm approximately, but you may be offered additional duties and responsibilities outside of these hours.

The candidate         

The ideal candidate will have an outgoing and resilient personality and will be able to work on their own initiative to ensure that health and safety procedures are met, and the welfare of the children. You will ideally have experience of working in a SEN setting, but applications will be judged on an individual basis. Knowledge of de-escalation strategies and Team teach/Moving and handling training is desirable, but not essential as we can provide training through our CPD academy.

You will be provided with your own specialist consultant who will take care of your needs and advise you through the clearing and work process. You will have access to free safeguarding training and an online diary so you can manage your work times more efficiently. You will also have access to our CPD Academy, in which you will be able to attend training courses in order to aid your personal development in your career.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
