  • Teaching Assistant (Behaviour Support) needed in Longsight (M12)

  • Full Time Position to start in January

  • Competitive Rates of Pay

    Teaching Personnel are currently working with an alternative education provider based in the Longsight area of (M12). Due to being oversubscribed, the school are looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to join their ever growing team. Your role as a Teaching Assistant will be to assist pupils with additional needs including SEMH, ASC and challenging behaviours. You will offer assistance mainly in a 1:1 capacity but maybe required to provide assistance with up to 3 pupils. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with young people with SEMH and ASC.

    The successful candidate will work within Key Stage 2 and support children with EHCP’s. The Headteacher and the governors of the school are looking for a teaching assistant who has had similar experience before, however this is not essential, a good attitude and a passion to make a difference go a long way.

    The role is to work in a ‘GOOD’ school, it is a 2 form entry located in (M12) and class sizes are very small (up to 8 pupils). The school caters for young people of primary age who have either been permanently excluded from mainstream school or who are in danger of becoming so, because of social, emotional or behavioural difficulties. A small proportion of pupils have other learning needs such as ASC.

    The staff at this school provide an inclusive environment for all and work hard and work together to achieve results. The position is to start in January however you will have to be available for a trial day within the next 3 weeks.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
