Teaching Assistant

Oldham Secondary school are seeking to hire an experienced graduate to support students within all lessons across Key Stage Three and Key Stage Four.

Do you have a passion for working with young people, and supporting their learning? Are you considering completing a PGCE in the future and wish to gain invaluable experience before doing so? This position will include working with students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis, covering lessons in the absence of the class teacher, and supporting the teachers in ensuring every student is engaged throughout lessons.

The large mixed comprehensive Secondary school is located near to the M60, and is accessible via public transportation links. They stress the importance of preparing students for every stage of their school life, and this will be an integral part of the appointed Teaching Assistant’s role.

It is essential to be considered for this position, that you have previous experience working with students aged 11-16. You will be assisting both students and teachers to ensure that teaching and learning is accessible for all.
