Teaching Personnel are currently working with a large secondary school based in Wigan to assist them with the recruitment of a Teaching Assistant on a full time basis following a recent resignation within our schools support department.
- Full-time Teaching Assistant role starting in March 2019
- Typical earning are £1000-£1200 a month
- Working with children of the age range 11-16 covering all subject areas
- Support provided from teaching staff and Heads of Department
The incoming Teaching Assistant will be supporting the class teacher throughout lessons helping them to set-up the lesson, and assisting in lessons ensuring that all students understand the work that is being set and are on task. It will be the responsibility of the successful Teaching Assistant to ensure that all students are behaving appropriately and remain engaged throughout the class and are completing the work that has been set by the teacher. There will be the opportunity to lead small intervention sessions and to support students on a 1:1 basis who may be falling behind in their studies.
The school have recently appointed a new Leadership Team and are now run by two National Leaders of Education who have taken the responsibility of recruitment of new staff amongst many other tasks.
Our client Secondary school wish to hold interviews for this position in the coming weeks with the aim to appointing the successful Teaching Assistant before March 2019.
- This is a smaller than average Secondary school with approximately 680 students on roll
- Located in the centre of Wigan, the school has an abundance of public transport links from the surrounding areas
- The school is just minutes away from the A58, making it easily accessible via car
