Teaching Assistant

Join the SEN support department of a modern secondary academy, supporting pupils aged 11-16.

• Full-time SEN Teaching Assistant.
• To start as soon as possible, on an ongoing basis.
• Supporting pupils across Key Stage 3 and GCSE.
• Providing support for pupils with a range of SEN and learning difficulties.
• Earn up to GBP350 per week, depending on experience.

Our client secondary academy is located between Bolton and Salford is currently looking for an additional member of staff to join their SEN department due to several pupils requiring extra support. The incoming candidate will be expected to provide in class support for students with a range of Special Educational Needs. The successful applicant will be supporting pupils within the SEN department and in mainstream teaching classes to ensure identified pupils have the correct resources to meet their target grades.

To be considered for this role, it is important that you have some form of experience supporting children and young people previously. Any specific experience supporting secondary school pupils with learning difficulties or SEN previously will be highly transferrable to this role but is not essential as the academy provides an induction and support. The successful candidate will be supporting students within a range of subjects which will vary on a daily basis.

Our client academy is located near to Worsley and is easily accessible from the surrounding areas of Greater Manchester such as Bolton, Salford and Trafford via the M62 and A580. Being close by to both bus and tram stops, the academy has excellent links to public transport from neighbouring areas such as Swinton and Eccles, for candidates who do not have their own transport.
