An opportunity has arisen in a mainstream Primary School in Christchurch for a teaching assistant commencing September 2020. 

As a Teaching Assistant you will support the learning of all children, including those with SEN. If you believe that all children’s needs should be supported within a mainstream setting and you have the skills to support children’s learning and their wider wellbeing we would love to hear from you.

You should be comfortable working with children from 4-11 and have the necessary subject knowledge to support children with reading, writing and maths up to the level required at Foundation Stage through to Upper Key Stage 2. Usually this will be a minimum of a GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English. You should have experience working with children in a school setting. A relevant qualification is desirable.

You should be willing to undertake any necessary training to enable you to carry out your role effectively and a First Aid/Paediatric First Aid qualification is desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
