Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant with a specialism in supporting children with complex SEMH difficulties. Many students across the UK who have existing SEMH difficulties are expected to struggle throughout the pandemic. A school in Preston are looking to recruit a 1:1 support to help a child at an Alternative provision to engage with their online work.

The school caters for 11-19 year old which has complex SEMH difficulties and have associated behaviours. Therefore, these children cannot thrive in a mainstream setting and are being educated in an Alternative Provision.

The role will evolve throughout the transition of lockdown and re-entering into school life. The successful candidate will support the child to engage with the curriculum and help to keep them engaged in their education.

The successful candidate should be confident in building rapport with children who may be harder to reach or display challenging behaviour.

This is a full-time role 8.45am- 3.15pm Monday- Friday.

The pay for this role is GBP70 per day.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
