Early Years Teaching Assistant
Teaching Personnel are working closely with a school in Truro and are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to work on a full time basis within Early Years. The role will start on a temporary basis but could lead to a permanent position for the right candidate.
The school aims to provide all children with the best possible learning opportunities in order to develop into confident and independent young people. We want to help maximise the children’s development by placing a motivated and passionate TA/Nursery Nurse into their school to assist with this.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working with early years and have a good understanding of the approaches to supporting them. Previous experience is necessary as you will need to have a good understanding of the full curriculum in order to support the teaching each day. You must be able to adapt the lesson plans to any student that needs it and support small groups of students that require additional help.
To apply, we are looking for Nursery Assistants with the following:
- A minimum of 6 months experience working with Children
- Previous experience with Early Years
- Good behaviour management skills
- Patience
- GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English
- Level 3 or Equivalent in a child related course (CACHE, NVQ3 Teaching and Learning etc)
Requirements:
• An Enhanced 'Child Workforce' DBS on the Update Service. (Or willing to apply ASAP)
• References from your two most recent child based employers
• Full or part time availability, and long-term. (08:30am - 15.30pm)
