Teaching Assistant - General classroom support

Part-time & Full-time positions available 

We are looking for a highly motivated individuals who will work as a class-based teaching assistant supporting children in one of our schools in Ystradgynlais from 8.30am - 3:30pm. You will join a very hard working and dedicated team of teachers, other teaching assistants and support staff, who focus on improving outcomes for the pupils in their care.

Duties will include:

• Supporting the pupils in 1:1, in groups or in classroom situations, lunch and break times.
• Accompanying pupils on organised school visits/trips as appropriate
• To assist in the support of pupils who can respond with behaviour which challenges.
• To assist with resolving issues which cause anxiety or emotional response in our pupils.
• To keep accurate records as required by the school.
• To be involved in collaborative planning with teaching staff to ensure the effective use of support.
• To work as part of a flexible and supportive team to further the ethos of the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
