Learning Support Assistant

Location: Worthing

Job Type: Full time 

Pay- £83-£90

We are looking to recruit passionate individuals who are looking for the rewarding role as Learning support assistants.

If you have experience volunteering in schools, employed within schools or the care sector. We woud love to hear from you! 

Job Duties:

  • Provide individualised support to students with special educational needs (where needed) 
  • Assist students in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities
  • Support students in developing their social and communication skills
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and effectively manage challenging behaviour
  • Promote inclusivity and create a supportive learning environment
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding policies

Our Ideal candidate:

  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
  • Prior experience working/volunteering in the education or care sector.
  • Proactive and caring approach towards supporting individuals.
  • Reliable and enthusiastic with a passion for promoting inclusive learning
  • Ability to effectively manage challenging behaviour
  • Good understanding of educational practises and strategies for supporting individuals with special educational needs (advantageous)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • DBS on the update service (Teaching Personnel can help with this)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
