Teaching Assistant (TA) – Flexible, Day-to-Day Cover | Location: Wisbech, Cambridgeshire| Start: ASAP| Contract: Day-to-Day / Short-Term Supply

Are you an adaptable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work that fits around you? We’re seeking reliable, committed TAs to provide day-to-day and short-term classroom support in local schools across Wisbech and surrounding areas.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience, support different age groups, and make a real impact—without the full-time commitment.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll:

  • Support pupils during lessons, encouraging engagement and progress
  • Work alongside teachers to deliver differentiated activities and interventions
  • Provide behaviour and learning support where needed
  • Help prepare resources, organise classroom spaces, and assist small group learning
  • Be available for both short-notice and pre-booked cover days

About You

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

  • Have experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or in a classroom environment
  • Are confident supporting students across a range of ages and abilities
  • Are adaptable, resourceful, and calm under pressure
  • Have a positive approach to behaviour management
  • Are reliable, flexible, and happy to take on last-minute opportunities
  • Hold (or are willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS check and have the right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
