Teaching Assistant (TA) – Day-to-Day / Flexible | Location: Wisbech, Cambridgeshire| Start: ASAP ️ | Contract: Day-to-Day/ Short-Term Supply


Role Overview

We are seeking reliable, enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to provide day-to-day cover and support across classes. As a TA, you’ll help create a positive learning environment and assist students and teachers during periods of absence or increased workload.

Duties include:

  • Supporting students during lessons to ensure engagement and progress
  • Working with teachers to deliver differentiated tasks and interventions
  • Assisting with behaviour management, seating arrangements, and organization
  • Helping prepare resources or supporting small group work
  • Being available for both short-notice and pre-booked cover days

Ideal Candidate

You will be successful in this role if you:

  • Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, learning support, or in a classroom environment
  • Are confident working with students of different ages and abilities
  • Are adaptable, resourceful and able to step into varied classroom settings
  • Can manage behaviour supportively and positively
  • Are flexible, dependable, and able to respond to last-minute requests
  • Hold, or be able to obtain, an enhanced DBS check and have the right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
