Job description

We’re looking for an empathetic and compassionate Teaching Assistant who wants to make a profound impact in a young child’s life. This school in the South of Bristol allows the children to have a structured setting but also to be creative and flexible with their TA in their learning.

The children are aged 11 to 16 with a mixture or needs. The students lay on the Autistic Spectrum with some showing SEMH behaviours. An open-minded candidate is wanted as the needs of the children vairy and require to be supported in various way.

  • The role begins in May/ June 2024 is full time or flexible – Monday to Friday 8:00am –    3:00pm – term time only.
  • £12.90 /hr
  • Accessible bus routes

The Academy is based in the BS13 area and takes the think outside the box approach and to make learning new and fun every day.

The successful Teaching Assistant will:

• Be proactive and creative in their approach to teaching.

• Be confident working with children with autism and special/ physical needs.

• Look forward to making everyday exciting in the classroom and making a safe space for the students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
