We are a specialist SEN school catering for pupils aged 4-19 with a range of complex needs, including Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and associated sensory, communication, and medical needs. Our children thrive with the support of a dedicated team that recognises and celebrates every achievement—no matter how small.
What you’ll do:

Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups, helping them engage with learning activities tailored to their needs.

Assist with personal care, therapy sessions, and mobility as required.

Work collaboratively with class teachers, therapists, and other support staff to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.

Communicate effectively with pupils using a range of methods including Makaton, PECS, or AAC (training will be provided if needed).

A caring, enthusiastic, and proactive attitude.

Experience working with children or young people with additional needs. We will also consider experience supporting adults with special needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
