Teaching Assistant Sleaford
A Typical Day- The school day begins at 8:55 and finishes at 3:30pm. The day consists of 4 lessons with breaks in between and a morning meeting everyday. At 8:55 there is always an activity or school walk before getting into lessons. This is to encourage wellbeing and start the day relaxed and ready.
You will support the social, emotional and mental health needs of students in very small groups or on a 1:1 basis in different classes across the school. Due to the needs of the students the lessons are around 45 minutes long with a strong emphasis on a therapeutic and calming environment. The students may be on a program whereby they stay at the school receiving care for severe anxiety, self harm, eating disorders and mental health needs. The school enables students to return to the educational provision they were attending prior to admission or an appropriate alternative.
