The School and Job:

Teaching Personnel have a long-standing relationship with a SEN School in Salisbury, who cater for boys and girls with special needs such as Autism and Complex Learning Needs. The School has an in-house team of qualified therapists offering Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Sensory Integration. 

We are currently looking for someone to work in the PMLD department (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties). The young people will have physical disabilities, sensory impairments and complex medical needs.

You will not be responsible for any of the medical care. To really thrive in this role, it is essential you are able to connect with young people who are not able to communicate. You must be playful, kind and receptive.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Any relevant SEN experience or qualifications is desired, however not essential if you have the right values.
  • A passion and enthusiasm to see pupils achieve their best potential 
  • Dedication to the needs of all your pupils, working with other staff members to offer emotional and academic support
  • Good interpersonal skills and confidence
  • Punctual and reliable

Candidates are required to work full time 8.30am-15:30.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
