Teaching Personnel are proud to be working exclusively with a SEN schools in Salisbury, who are seeking Special Needs Teaching Assistants to start in January. 

As a SEN TA, you could be working with students who have needs including, but not limited to:

  • PMLD (profound and multiple learning difficulties)
  • MLD (mild learning difficulties)
  • SLD (severe learning difficulties)
  • ASC (Autistic Spectrum Conditions)

You will be required to:

  • Support pupils across the whole school, who follow a Primary or Nursery curriculum
  • Support with Phonics, Literacy and Numeracy
  • Support in creative topics such as Art, Music and Play lessons
  • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis where required
  • Provide support with challenging behaviours
  • Support pupil’s communication needs
  • Some personal care may be involved

We are looking for applicants who:

  • Have proven experience working in educational setting or with children/adults that have special needs
  • Are passionate, proactive and dedicated about improving the learning opportunities for children and young people
  • Have an ability to work with a range of children and young people with additional and complex needs
  • Are flexible, enthusiastic and resilient, with a good sense of humour

  • Full time and part time positions available as well as supply/flexible opportunities
  • It would be beneficial for you to drive

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
