Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Primary School | Salford

Start Date: Immediate
Location: Salford
Contract: Full-Time | Term-Time Only

Are you a skilled HLTA ready to make a meaningful impact in a vibrant primary school setting? A welcoming and inclusive school in Salford, working in partnership with Teaching Personnel, is seeking a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.

Your Role:

As a HLTA, you’ll be a vital part of the school’s teaching and learning team. You’ll collaborate with teachers and senior leaders to deliver engaging lessons, support pupils across various key stages, and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Key Duties:

  • Lead whole-class teaching in the absence of the teacher
  • Deliver small group interventions and targeted support
  • Assist with lesson planning, assessments, and classroom organisation
  • Support pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2
  • Foster an inclusive and encouraging classroom atmosphere
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families

What We’re Looking For:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience in a primary setting
  • Confident in leading learning across the primary age range
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Experience supporting pupils with diverse learning needs, including SEN
  • Flexible, proactive, and collaborative approach
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
