Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Primary School in Salford
Start Date: September 2025 | Full-Time | Term-Time Only
Are you an experienced HLTA looking for a rewarding new opportunity? A supportive and inclusive primary school in Salford, in partnership with Teaching Personnel, is seeking a confident and capable Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025.
About the Role:
As a HLTA, you’ll play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You’ll work closely with teachers and senior leaders to deliver high-quality learning experiences and may be asked to lead whole-class sessions, small group interventions, and targeted support for pupils with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver planned lessons to whole classes in the absence of the teacher
- Support learning through small group work and targeted interventions
- Assist with planning, assessment, and classroom organisation
- Work with pupils across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2 as needed
- Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families
What We’re Looking For:
- HLTA status or equivalent relevant experience in a primary school
- Confidence in leading learning independently across the primary age range
- Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to the needs of different learners, including SEN support
- A proactive, flexible, and team-oriented approach
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
