JOB TITLE – Early Years Learning Support Assistant

Location: Bury, BL0

ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Teaching Personnel is looking to appoint a warm, enthusiastic Early Years Learning Support Assistant to join a friendly and nurturing primary school in the Bury (BL0) area.
The school is passionate about delivering high‑quality Early Years education and offers regular CPD opportunities throughout the academic year. For the right person, this role may be extended or could become permanent.


CONTRACT / POSITION DETAILS

  • Location: Bury, BL0
  • Position: Early Years Learning Support Assistant
  • Full‑Time: Monday to Friday
  • Daily Pay: From £13.75 per hour 
  • Working Hours: 8:20am – 3:30pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience working in a UK school (essential)
  • A minimum of 24 months of checkable references (required)
  • Experience within Early Years (Nursery or Reception) is beneficial
  • Suitable for both recent graduates and experienced LSAs
  • Up‑to‑date safeguarding training completed within the last 12 months
  • Experience or a strong interest in supporting Early Years pupils with SEN, including:Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Autism
    • Speech & Language Needs
  • Background in healthcare or supporting vulnerable individuals is an advantage

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS (Teaching Personnel)

  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Enhanced child‑barred list DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Two professional, child‑related references covering the last 24 months

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
