Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a dedicated General Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 class in a friendly and well‑regarded primary school in the OL15 area of Rochdale. The school is rated Good by Ofsted and benefits from being a two‑form entry setting, offering strong teamwork, shared planning, and a supportive staff structure.

Starting after the Easter break, this role will run for the remainder of the academic year. You will work closely with the class teacher, supporting pupils with their learning, helping to deliver small‑group interventions, and contributing to the smooth running of the classroom. The position requires someone who can build positive relationships with children, maintain a calm and encouraging presence, and show initiative when supporting learning activities.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with primary-aged pupils, particularly in Key Stage 2. Strong communication skills, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s progress are essential.
