Teaching Assistant
Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Rochdale. This role is available immediately, initially to cover a period of staff absence.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a brilliant primary school that places pupils’ development and wellbeing at the heart of everything they do. You will be joining a friendly team who are committed to ensuring every child receives the support they need to succeed.
The successful candidate will be required to start as soon as possible, providing immediate support within the Early Years setting. The school is looking for someone who is:
- Reliable and professional, with a positive and nurturing approach to supporting children, including on a 1:1 basis
- A strong communicator, able to work closely with the class teacher to meet individual pupil needs
- Adaptable and confident in responding to challenges throughout the school day
- Experienced in supporting Early Years children, either in a professional setting or through relevant personal experience
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, along with knowledge of how best to support children at this crucial stage of development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
