Job Duties:

• Supporting classroom activities under the direction of the teacher
• Assisting with the implementation of lesson plans
• Providing one-on-one support to students as needed
• Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Assisting with classroom management and behaviour strategies
• Providing support during educational outings and extracurricular activities

Required Qualifications:

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• Relevant experience working with children or young people
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Experience:

Experience working with children or young people is required

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of child development principles
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with teaching staff
• Good organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a classroom setting within a school environment. The Teaching Assistant may need to assist with activities both indoors and outdoors. The position requires full-time hours and may involve occasional additional duties or events outside of regular school hours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
