Job Duties

• Deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions in the absence of the regular class teacher
• Implement pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure continuity in students' learning
• Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
• Provide feedback to regular teachers on students' progress and behaviour
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required

Required Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Enhanced DBS check
• Right to work in the UK

Education

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience

Previous experience in a teaching role is desirable but not essential

Knowledge and Skills

• Strong understanding of the UK national curriculum
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to different teaching environments and student needs
• Organisational skills and ability to manage classroom effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
• Experience working with students with special educational needs

Working Conditions

The role involves working in a school setting, following the school calendar and timetable. The teacher may be required to work in different classrooms and with various age groups of students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
