About the School
Teaching Personnel are supporting an independent special school that supports students aged 6–19 with a range of learning needs, including moderate to severe learning difficulties (MLD/SLD), autism, ADHD, and complex medical or physical needs. Students may also experience anxiety, low confidence, sensory challenges, and difficulty with change.
Your Role
Support students’ learning and development in the classroom, outdoors, and in the community
Help students with additional needs achieve their educational and personal goals
Promote a respectful, inclusive, and supportive environment
Encourage independence, confidence, and wellbeing
Provide high-quality support across all activities
Assist with personal care and, if needed, physical interventions
Be flexible and help wherever required

Willing to complete training and gain qualifications (fully funded)
Passionate about supporting children with additional needs
Patient, compassionate, and motivated
Positive mindset—focus on potential, not limitations
Enjoys outdoor and community-based learning
Proactive, creative, and solution-focused
Strong communication skills
Able to work both independently and as part of a team
Committed to safeguarding and student wellbeing
Minimum Level 2 (or equivalent) in Maths and English
Salary & Details
£22,996 – £25,068 per year (depending on experience and qualifications)
£1,000 welcome bonus
Full-time, permanent
Term-time only
