**Teaching Assistant - 0ldham – Full Time – November Start**

Are you a Teaching Assistant seeking a new position after October half term? Maybe you are a recent graduate seeking further experience within a secondary school as a Teaching Assistant before applying for a PGCE or similar teacher training programme?

We require a Teaching Assistant or recent graduate to join the school after October half term to support and aid in the develop of pupils on a 1:1 and a group basis. You will be working alongside a number of identified pupils who require additional support, whether this is learning or behaviour SEN related, including but not limited to; Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia or ADHD.

Working as a Teaching Assistant is a very rewarding role where every day will be different. You will be required to work closely with the SENCO to support each identified pupil, working as a team within the SEN department whilst also using your own initiative to implement innovative ways of supporting the pupils to further engage with the curriculum.  Although every day will be different and your role and responsibilities will change regularly dependent on the needs of the school and its pupils, the typical responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or group basis both within and outside of the classroom

  • Working alongside the SENCO, planning and implementing development plans for identified pupils within the school

  • Assisting with any additional needs the pupils have, whether this is learning, SEN, SEMH or behaviour related

  • Earn up to GBP70 a day, dependent on your experience and the responsibilities of the role on the day

You will be working within a large mixed secondary school in Oldham close to major public transport links to Manchester City centre and a short distance from the Hollinwood interchange off the M60 ring road, making it easily accessible by a Teaching Assistant who drives or uses public transport.
