Teaching Personnel are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to support pupils in primary schools within the NP19 area. This role offers the opportunity to work in well-established, inclusive school environments that support children from Nursery through to Key Stage 2, including pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
The successful candidate will be confident working across the primary age range and comfortable supporting pupils in both mainstream classrooms and specialist support bases.
About the Role
- Support pupils across Nursery, EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support, including for pupils with ALN
- Assist teachers with classroom learning and routines
- Support pupils in inclusive and nurturing learning environments
- Help promote positive behaviour, engagement and wellbeing
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and support teams
- Adapt support to meet a range of learning and emotional needs
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with children in a school, nursery or similar setting
- Confident supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs
- Calm, patient and able to build positive relationships
- Proactive and able to use initiative in the classroom
- Comfortable working in busy, fast-paced school environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
