Welsh-Speaking Teaching Assistant – Year 4 (Full-Time)

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a fluent Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and welcoming primary school, working full-time within a Year 4 classroom.

This role is classroom-based and focuses on supporting teaching and learning across the whole class. While the position is not a dedicated ALN role, there are two pupils with Additional Learning Needs within the class, so applicants must be confident and comfortable providing appropriate support when required.

Key responsibilities:

• Supporting the class teacher with day-to-day learning activities

• Working with small groups and individual pupils as needed

• Providing inclusive support to ensure all pupils can access the curriculum

• Assisting with classroom organisation and behaviour management

• Promoting a positive, nurturing learning environment through the medium of Welsh

Essential requirements:

• Fluent Welsh speaker (spoken and written)

• Previous experience working in a primary school setting

• Confidence supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs

• A proactive, flexible, and supportive approach to classroom work

• Full-time position

• Based in a Year 4 classroom

• Weekly pay: £446.90

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
