Full-Time Teaching Assistant (Level 2)
Summer Term – SEMH Support (Year 3)

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, compassionate and resilient Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to join our team for the Summer Term, starting 24th April. This is a full-time, term-time only position supporting a child in Year 3 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Working hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:50am – 3:15pm
Term time only

About the Role

The successful candidate will:

• Provide 1:1 and/or small group support for a child in Year 3 with SEMH needs

• Support emotional regulation, positive behaviour and engagement with learning

• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCo and wider school team

• Help create a safe, nurturing and supportive learning environment

• Promote positive relationships and inclusion within the classroom

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

• Has childcare or classroom experience (essential)

• And/or holds a childcare qualification or relevant degree such as Psychology, Counselling, Education or a related field

• Is patient, caring and able to build strong, trusting relationships

• Is calm, resilient and able to respond positively to challenging situations

• Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
