Teaching Assistant – KS1 Speech and Language Support
Location: Lancaster
Start Date: After November Half Term
Contract Type: Fixed Term / Part-Time / Full-Time (depending on candidate availability)
Salary: Dependent on experience and qualifications

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant to join our Key Stage 1 team in Lancaster, with a specific focus on supporting pupils with speech and language development. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the early stages of children's education, working closely with class teachers, SENCO, and external specialists.

About the Role:

• Supporting children in KS1 with identified speech and language needs, both in class and through targeted interventions.
• Working collaboratively with teaching staff to implement personalised learning strategies.
• Monitoring progress and contributing to reviews and planning meetings.
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and language-rich environment that encourages communication and confidence.

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

• Has experience working with children in an educational setting, ideally with a focus on speech and language.
• Is patient, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting young learners.
• Can work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Holds a relevant TA qualification or equivalent experience (desirable but not essential).
