Teaching personnel are looking for an outstanding Teaching Assistant, dealing with predominately KS3 and KS4 aged 11-16 years, with severe emotional, social, mental health and behavioural difficulties for our partner school in Knutsford.
You must have experience supporting students who can display very challenging behaviour. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with SEMH needs and have worked in a primary or secondary environment. The school looks at taking a nurturing approach towards students and treats their students as individuals, catering to educational needs. However, this does not have to be in a school-based environment. Teaching Personnel also recruit candidates who have undertaken youth work, supported young offenders or those at risk of re-offending and those who have worked in secure or medical units. You must have the ability to build a rapport with a non-judgemental attitude and be passionate about improving the lives of young people.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Team Teach Experience (not essential)
- Good behaviour management
- Patience and resilience
- A warm nature
- Teaching Assistant Experience
