Job Op – 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location – Portland
Role – Temporary
Start – Asap
Teaching Personnel are working with a school in the Weymouth area who are in need of a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a year 1 pupil.
- You will be with the pupil in each class offering support and engagement tactics to ensure pupil is completing work and taking part in active learning.
- Strong behaviour management is ideal for this role.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both staff and pupil in question.
- Adaptable to pressurised situations and able to think on your feet.
Requirements:
- Previous experience covering 1:1 teaching assistants.
- Knowledge and experience with Key Stage1.
- Enhanced Child Only DBS on the update Service (Teaching Personnel can assist with this where needed)
- Background of working with pupils from an SEN background would be advantageous.
This role will be to start as soon as possible and follow on for two weeks after the Easter half term (with the potential to extend where required)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
