Primary Teaching Assistant – Hull (HU19)
Location: Hull, HU19
Pay: £90–£110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time, term-time only

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in the HU19 area of Hull. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in children’s learning and development, supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to provide engaging learning support, assist with small-group and one-to-one interventions, and help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering creative and effective lessons

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour support

  • Foster a positive learning atmosphere that encourages curiosity and confidence

  • Contribute to the wider school community and assist in school activities

Requirements

✅ Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant
✅ Experience supporting children with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, Speech & Language) is highly desirable
✅ A genuine passion for working with children and helping them reach their potential
✅ Excellent communication and teamwork skills
✅ A valid DBS or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
