Teaching Assistant (SEND) – Supply Roles (Full-Time & Part-Time)

Hull | £90–£110 per day (depending on experience) | Temporary / Supply

Are you passionate about making a real difference in children’s lives? We are currently seeking dedicated and caring Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis across welcoming schools in Hull. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available, offering flexible work to suit your availability while providing valuable experience within education.

These roles focus on supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally in a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND.

  • Assist class teachers in delivering inclusive, engaging lessons.

  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and physical development.

  • Deliver personal care where required, always maintaining dignity and respect.

  • Work collaboratively with school staff to meet each pupil’s individual needs.

Person Specification

  • Experience working with children, ideally within SEND settings.

  • A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Willingness to support pupils with personal care needs when required.

  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one, is essential.

  • Relevant TA qualifications are desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
