Teaching Personnel work with schools throughout Gateshead who require Teaching Assistants to work with SEND pupils on both a 1-1 and small group basis. A variety of settings are available providing opportunities for you to work within your preferred special needs environment which include Autism, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, Sensory Impairment, and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties.

A range of daily and longer term positions are available, where you will be able to establish good working relationships within the teams of specific schools. There are options for full or part time hours, meaning we are able to provide you with a position that suits your lifestyle. For those interested in longer term positions, we will be happy to discuss potential roles. This is also an excellent opportunity if you are seeking permanent employment as introductions to new schools often leads to future positions.

To apply for this role you must:

• be able to work independently on either a 1-1 or small group basis

• be pro-active, enthusiastic, energetic and reliable

• be flexible to work at short notice as and when the need arises

• have recent experience in a Teaching Assistant role, within a special needs environment

• hold a relevant child care or education qualification at Level 3 or above.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
