The Position - SEN Teaching Assistant
For this SEN Teaching assistant role, you must have previous experience supporting children with challenging behaviour, including ASD,SEMH,ADHD,ODD and more, this does not necessarily need to be in a school environment. You will be required to work in a small class of 6 students in KS3 and are all of mixed abilities. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will need to be strong minded, enthusiastic and adaptable to be able to bring the best out in each of the students within the class.
The School - SEN School
It is a specialist school for pupils with Communication and interaction difficulties, with all the additional resources, staffing and expertise required to support this. They also have regular contact with Education Psychologists, Speech and Language, Physiotherapy and other therapists to enhance our provision at the school. The recent re-designation of the school means that they now cater for students who have Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD).
The school was judged to be 'Good' under the new Ofsted Inspection framework.
