Job description

Teaching Personnel – Autism Support (1:1 KS1)

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a 1:1 Autism Support Assistant within a Key Stage 1 setting.

Role Details:

  • Position: 1:1 Autism Support Assistant

  • Location: DH3

  • Key Stage: KS1

  • Start Date: ASAP / Flexible 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support for a pupil with autism on a one-to-one basis.

  • Assist with learning activities and help the pupil access the curriculum.

  • Support social, emotional and communication development.

  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement strategies and personalised plans.

  • Promote a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children with autism or additional needs (desirable).

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young learners.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
