Job Title: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support
Location: Clitheroe Primary School
Salary: £12.82 - £15 per hour
Hours: Full-time
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with Special Educational Needs? Do you have experience working as a Teaching Assistant, providing 1:1 support to pupils? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team in a Clitheroe mainstream school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with Special Educational Needs.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
- Collaborate with the classroom teacher to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Foster positive relationships with the pupil, parents, and school staff.
- Observe and record progress, contributing to assessment and reporting processes.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, specifically in supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
- Strong understanding of SEN practices and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and follow guidance from the classroom teacher.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
Qualifications:
- Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
- Experience with SEN-specific training or qualifications is an advantage.
Salary and Benefits:
- Competitive hourly rate: £12.82 - £15.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
