Teaching Assistant – Chard Area

Location: Chard, Somerset and surrounding areas
Contract Type: Flexible placements (full-time and part-time opportunities)

Teaching Personnel are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary and secondary schools. This is a fantastic opportunity to support young people in their learning, gain experience in different educational settings, and make a real difference every day.

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers to provide classroom support, assist with learning activities, and offer one-to-one or small group help to pupils who may need extra encouragement. Whether you’re experienced or just starting your career in education, we’ll provide training and guidance to help you thrive.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience working with children or young people (school-based preferred)

  • A patient, proactive, and positive attitude

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • A genuine interest in supporting students’ learning and wellbeing

  • A DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
