About the role:

Location – Cardiff 

Pay - £12.90 an hour

Start Date – ASAP (Pending Vetting Requirements)

Hours – 8:30-3:30

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit both full time and part time teaching assistants to support Primary Schools in the centre of Cardiff and surrounding areas!

The role of a teaching assistant consists of supporting the teacher and children in the classroom and contributing to the positive school environment. The roles we can offer can work around you and your availability, whether you are looking for work 1-2 days a week or 5 days a week. Positions can start as soon as the vetting process is complete. Experience as a teaching assistant is desirable, but not essential to be successful in the role.

Teaching Assistant Duties:

• Working with students who require additional support or leading small groups of children
• Supporting the teacher with general classroom assistance and behaviour management
• Preparing resources ready for lessons
• Help to maintain a clean and tidy classroom environment

Requirement Criteria:

• Enhanced Child Only DBS Certificate
• Register with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
• Be able to provide professional based reference details

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
