Teaching Assistant

Bury | Specialist Secondary School | Full-Time

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in young people's lives?

We're recruiting for a specialist secondary school in Bury, supporting students aged 11-16 with autism and social, language and communication needs.

The Role

✅ Support students in lessons and throughout the school day

✅ Encourage communication, independence and social development

✅ Assist with EHCP targets and individual learning plans

✅ Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

✅ Work closely with teachers, therapists and specialist staff

About You

✔ Previous school-based experience is essential

✔ Experience supporting SEND and autism is highly desirable

✔ Patient, resilient and nurturing approach

✔ Strong communication and relationship-building skills

✔ Passionate about helping students reach their full potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
