Do you have experience working with young adults or children with complex behaviour and/or learning difficulties?

Or perhaps you have a background as a Support Worker, Care Worker, Key Worker or Youth Worker and feel confident working with children?

We have an immediate long term to permanent role in a lively and multicultural school in Bracknell. The role will involve supporting KS1 – KS3 pupils 1:1 and 2:1 with complex learning needs which may include autism. Pupils in class may also display challenging behaviours; however, you will be working alongside a skilled and highly supportive team.

With primary, secondary, post-16 and residential care on site there are a range of career progression opportunities and this will be a great opportunity for an individual looking to develop and find purpose long term in education.

Based locally in Bracknell and accessible on public transport. With plenty of parking for those who drive and very easy to get to from Reading, Wokingham and Ascot.

Job Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll typically need to:

  • Follow instructions from Teachers in order to support effectively in the class room
  • Adhere to professional practice standards and legislation, including confidentiality, safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion policies
  • Ensure you're up-to-date on your knowledge of local service provision for appropriate signposting and referrals
  • Help children with learning and development
  • Coach, mentor and motivate children to understand the benefits of relevant activities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date administration and caseload records, including reports of all interactions

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
