Teaching Assistant – Primary School in Bolton (Start Date: After February Half Term)

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bolton is partnering with Teaching Personnel to appoint a caring, proactive, and committed Teaching Assistant to start after February half term.

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play an important role in helping pupils grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Working closely with the class teacher, your responsibilities will include:

Providing one‑to‑one and small‑group support across the curriculum
Assisting with lesson preparation, classroom activities, and pupil assessments
Helping create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Supporting children with additional needs, including SEND and EAL
Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting daily routines
Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families
Contributing to wider school life, including events, enrichment, and team planning
Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and reliable individual who is dedicated to making a difference in children’s education. Ideally, you will have:

Experience working with children, preferably in a primary setting
A positive, nurturing attitude and a genuine interest in education
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet a range of learning needs
A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
Confidence supporting pupils with additional needs and using inclusive strategies
