Full-Time Teaching Assistant
Location: Leigh, Wigan
Hours: Monday to Friday, 32.5 hours per week
Start Date: Immediate / ASAP

We are currently supporting a primary school in the WN7 area who are looking to appoint a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who is motivated, caring, and committed to supporting pupils throughout their learning journey.

The school has a strong focus on inclusion, pupil wellbeing, and creating a positive learning environment where every child feels safe, supported, and encouraged to achieve their best.

Key duties will include:

• Supporting teaching and learning within the classroom
• Working with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning
• Assisting pupils with additional needs to access the curriculum
• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Supporting daily routines, transitions, and classroom organisation
• Preparing resources and supporting lesson delivery

The successful candidate will:

• Have experience working with children in a school or educational setting
• Be patient, reliable, and approachable
• Be confident supporting pupils with a range of abilities
• Work well as part of a team
• Have a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
