Graduate Teaching Assistant
Teaching Personnel are recruiting Graduate Teaching Assistants to work across a number of primary and secondary schools in Wigan, with opportunities also available in Bolton, Warrington, and surrounding areas.
This role is ideal for graduates considering a future career in teaching or education, who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience.
The role includes:
- Supporting students aged 11–16 in lessons
- Working alongside class teachers to support learning and behaviour
- Delivering 1:1 and small-group interventions
- Providing general lesson cover using pre-set work
We are looking for:
- A degree in any subject
- An interest in education or working with young people
- Confidence, reliability, and a proactive attitude
- Experience with young people is desirable but not essential
What’s on offer:
- Competitive pay of £90–£110 per day, paid weekly via PAYE
- Full-time and part-time opportunities
- Experience in a range of supportive secondary schools
- Excellent preparation for PGCE or teacher training routes

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
