A welcoming and supportive primary school in Leigh is seeking a confident and proactive Teaching Assistant to join their Key Stage 2 team from the Easter term until the end of the academic year.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils during a crucial stage of their primary education as they prepare for SATs and transition to secondary school.

The Role:

• Supporting teaching and learning within a Year 6 classroom
• Delivering targeted interventions in reading, writing and maths
• Providing small group and 1:1 support where required
• Assisting with SATs preparation and booster sessions
• Helping to maintain high expectations of behaviour and achievement

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have previous experience working in Key Stage 2 (Year 6 experience desirable)
• Be confident supporting upper KS2 maths and literacy
• Have strong behaviour management skills
• Be organised, proactive and able to use their initiative
• Build positive, professional relationships with pupils and staff
• Be committed to raising attainment and supporting pupil progress
